This is crazy. This is out of control. I'm starting to think the rumors that Mara might sell the team are true.
After Game one at least one thing was for sure-- everyone was talking up Jones at QB at least the Giants have that in place, he was standing in the pocket and delivering the ball got to tighten up those turnovers etc... Now just two games later and folks have given up on Jones and are thinking about the draft. It's not just the fans. Art Stapleton ran a long tawdy piece about Jones' leadership with all kinds of quotes from Duke and others, this was right before the Bear game I think. This week he has Danny boy half way out the door. Can that much change in two weeks?
I myself would just like to see him throw the ball down the field. His average throw is about six yards. I don't like this nit pick offense that requirers 15+ plays to get down the field.. the Giants talk about 'explosive' plays but don't know how to create them.
I think what I'm most concerned by is the Bears are so bad they changed out their QB... so Mitch he was a bum ready to be buried and we did not do it. That is most worrying to me. Mullins is actually a lot better than Mitch but the problem in this game is THEY PLAYED WITHOUT 3 DB's starters and we did not challenge the outside. Why? We can't.
Our receivers are terrible. + Our O line is half terrible + our QB is chucking the ball six yards a clip.
The 49ers had the ball for 40 minutes and never punted. This wasn't really even a game. The Giants coaches were massively out coached- I want to analyze what went wrong but there is so much and the hangover is so strong. We have lost the most games in the NFL since 2017 and it just continues.
I think with Judge he is going to eventually get through to these guys. I don't think we question the choice of a head coach, I think we have to ride this direction out. Dave Gettelman lets not even use his name anymore he's irrelevant and he's gone
.-- What type of player will we draft next year-? The Giants will draft Purdue WR Moore. This is pretty much set in stone.
And by the way lucky for us!
Purdue star wide receiver Rondale Moore opts back in to 2020 college football season-! This is really helpful because so many of these college football players are not going to have played this year...
"I think it's important for me to come back and compete and just show what a competitor I am," Moore said. "I think it's important for me just to go out there with my teammates and fulfill the promise I made to them when I came here as a freshman, and to my coaches as well."
For this year where do we go from here? To the Rams that cannot be good. When the hangover clears I'll attempt to come to terms with all of this but when I look at a team that cannot run the ball period. And then I see safeties playing all the way up-- insuring that I cannot run the ball... I just wonder why I am not seeing stretch patterns down the field. EXPLOSIVE attempts at least.
I would like to reserve any opinion on Daniele Jones until after I see that game when he puts the ball down the field. He has the time, he has the arm... maybe just not the receivers.~si
