I'm beyond getting mad, frustrated, hopeful, patient as the two words that come to mind on how I feel are indifferent and numbing after tonight's collapse.
This is a franchise wide malaise now, it's beyond DG, beyond Jones and his turnovers and Engram's drops. It's systemic, they just don't know how to win.
For the first time I was disappointed in Judge's post-game comments. When asked about what to say to the fans and what the fans are feeling we got the same, we're going to build something, there are some good things being done, players are working. Same we heard from McAdoo and Shurmur. For once I'd like to see some emotion, we f'd it up, that he understands what the last 5 years have been like and while he can't change history he's building something so he needs to be trusted.
Engram was the connsumate pro yeah I got to be better, yeah I'll look at tape and correct techniques, yeah a sucky feeling. How about I f'd up, I should have caught it and put the game away, I need to be better, I let everyone down my teammates, the fans, everyone.
I think like a lot of fans we don't expect them to win, we expect them to blow it. We don't expect them to pull one out, we expect them to find a way to lose.
How do you have a QB record the fastest MPH on a run break free with nothing with green in front of you and trip over your own feet. Highlight reel material. Up there with the butt fumble, Pisarcik to Csonka.
Listening to Jones, I remember hearing Eli after a loss and it would infuriate me how level headed his comments were but they seemed genuine. Jones just sounds like a robot.
Finally someone asked him if he was concerned that everyone sounded so calm after this loss and he said no. I just don't get it, someone should be pissed, throwing helmets, turning tables over. It's like we care more than they do. Feagles just jumped on that same point. I'm so indifferent I fully expect them to f up the draft as well because they have done NOTHING to instill any confidence in us as fans. They need a Steinbrenner or Billy Martin.
