League average: $34,030,061 ,
Giants are in lowest half at the 22nd spot . But that's deceptive because the gradations aren't equal. IOW's we're not halfway between the Browns 108 million but rather just about 1/5 of what the Browns have. We are a lot closer to the lowest team than to the Browns or Jets.
I read and respect Laz's analysis of how easy it might be to land Solder and Norwell both, but when I view it in a relative sense, there are teams much more well endowed than us with similar needs. So I hope he's right but see problems.
For all the lampooning of Cleveland, they have rather astutely positioned themselves. Really remarkable and I've never seen anything quite like it. They have two picks in the top four, 8 picks in the top 36 and are in a positon to dominate the Free Agency market. With a little luck and a good management team, they could be the team positioned to dominate for the next decade. Remember, if Cousins goes to Minny, maybe three QB's are turned loose. Cleveland signs one of them, is competitive next year with Barkley, additional free agents and picks no 33 and 37 and has time to develop the rookie QB behind Kizer/Keenan/Bridgewater or Bradford. Not a bad plan for alledged dummies.
