Ok guys. Yes one guy makes me think this way. But it made me think It’s time to rebuild. Pros and cons why
Pros ( reasons why)
No offensive Line. Jones may be our best guy. That’s sad
Transition to a 3-4 takes time
New coach and system also takes time
19 million in cap space
37 year old QB with the mobility of a guy in a wheel chair with no line
1 Linebacker with needing 3 starters 8 total
No FS
No punter
Maybe a journey man RB but he isn’t the answer
Only 5 draft picks
Between needing 2 guards OT QB RB ILB OLB OLB CB FS and punter that’s 11 players to a starting lineup not including 5 draft picks
If they pass on QB we will be in the same situation as these other teams. Over paying for a back up QB or trading away everything to position yourself to get one
Cons ( why not)
Eli plays at a high level with no line
Hit on later rounds on players rebuild faster then we thought
A few good under the radar players added at a good price
Webb does develop into a good player
I really can’t think of any other reason to not rebuild and all of the reasons why not too requires luck and other teams blowing it
Denver got Keenum. And Elway values QB very high. Keenum is a bridge. I think Denver brought him in for 2 reasons. 1 to bridge a rookie and 2 in case the Browns and Giants both are smart and draft QB and another team traded up to get one they can take the 4QB abs sit him
Teams are watching first hand what QB hell is. Less QBs then QBs available. Teams like the Jets Bills and Cardinals have zero shot unless someone falls to them teams joining them so are Chargers,Steelers,Saints,Giants (unless they draft one) patriots Ravens Dolphins even Jaguars by 2020 will be in need of one Trading your 2 for a bunch of other picks and getting guards Tackles Linbackers Running Backs CB And safeties makes no sense if you have poor play at the QB position. I understand Webb. But it’s a risk hoping he becomes our Franchise guy. If he does we have 2 and teams will call us. If he doesn’t thank god we drafted QB
