Take a look at this grainy footage of Barkley running last year against the Bears-- Look closely at the offensive line. They are six steps forwards they are NOT on the line of scrimmage. Watch-
I have been noticing that our offensive line has no push this year they are not getting several yards forwards and as such all Barkley's cut back lanes have been chewed off. Why is this? Have the Giants been taught a new blocking scheme.. I don't think so.. is there some lack or organization within the O line... Yes big time. They appear to have gone away from power blocking to some vague form of zone blocking which just looks like a lot of holding. In order for Saquan to advance the O line must advance. They must be stronger.
Matt LaFleur spared no one Monday. Not himself, not his fellow coaches, not his players.
His message was everyone has to take ownership of the Packers’ blowout loss in San Francisco on Sunday night and come back this week ready to work. He’s confident the team will do that, with the right approach and state of mind, but fully processing what needs to be the rock-bottom moment for the 2019 Packers comes first.
rock bottom> Wouldn't losing to the NY Giants be rock bottom. Folks we have to flip the script now and stop worrying about ourselves and our draft pick and just ruin someone else's day. that's the mindset here and it relieves stress.. Ok we are the Get Right team and every time we play the opposition Gets Right! It's become our new personalty as a team.. if you have troubles in your passing game just play the Giants... Well it's time we gambled on course;ver, play a little poser and a little faster and decided enough of that Get Right Team Nonsense now is the time for The Rock Bottom Team.. you in fact are going to hit Rock Bottom by losing to us... and Aaron Rodgers deserves to hit rock bottom.
“It was nowhere near good enough,” LaFleur said just shy of 12 hours after the team charter returned from the West Coast with an 8-3 squad following a 29-point beatdown at the hands of the 10-1 49ers.
“Like I said yesterday, we got schemed up and they did a much better job coaching than we did. We had way too many mistakes. Even when we had chances, we had too many mistakes, so I mean all around it was just a bad effort.”
The most difficult part to understand for the rookie head coach is he believed his team, coming off its bye week, had a good week of practice before heading west. So where the disconnect lies between the preparation and performance may be as important to figure out as anything.<-- Sound familiar.
“Anytime you get embarrassed like that, you find out what you’re made of. You find out a lot about people in times of adversity. I think this will be a good test for our football team. Hopefully, we’ll become better for it. Certainly, there’s a lot of work to be done. We’ve got to use every moment from today until we play the Giants to get it done.”
So the stage is set the coach of the Packers seems pretty confident his team will get Right vs the Giants however there is a strong feeling in New York that the Packers are about to hit Rock Bottom!
-Green Bay now has dropped three straight games,
.-Rodgers is just 42-46 in his 88 all-time career road games.
-With the loss last night Aaron Rodgers falls to 0-7 on the road against teams 6 games over .500.
Back at the start of the season the team was bonding great over Ping Pong and then the games were taken away now the music is gone...
For Barkley was it a sign of immaturity? The whole Ping Pong affair or was it something more... Could Barkley be more relaxed with the Ping pong could his quads get more twitchy with the constant staying on his toes is is hand eye coordination that much better with the ping pong...
Q: Saquon has 88 rushing yards on 44 carries in the last three games. How is that impacting the way defenses play you, do you feel like they are testing you? Is there anything you can do to help get the running game going?
A: I felt we ran the ball well, I thought we ran the ball effectively yesterday. When you look at the first and second down numbers, we did a good job running the ball, I think that’s encouraging. I said after the game yesterday, all areas of the game complement each other. If we can throw the ball better, that’s going to open up opportunities for him and opportunities in the run game.
Interesting answer by Shurmur it certainly did not fee llike the running game was working well did it? But Barkley had about 17 carries didn't he and one big break of a run so it's safe to say 25 caries and he would of had 100+ hard earned yards.. Pat seems down on the passing game BIG time... That brings us back to Danny Dimes and Dany's really no good bad day. That's over with, Danny went to Duke, he knows how to turn the page.
Couple things The sack and fumble was not Danny's fault at all the timing there I mean common... there was nothing to step up into it was just over so quick. The pass to the flat to Barkley I know it was a good pass but also lets be real Barkley is a back and that pass was quick and right on target into the forward area of the hands.. watch this clip of how
Barkley likes to receive his screens he stops and cradles it not running full speed.
